Through the excitement of worship
예배의 감격을 통해
이스라엘은 여호와께 예배 드리며 기뻐하고
감격했습니다. (레 9:22-24) 우리의 예배도 살아 숨쉬는 예배를 하나님께 드리길 원합니다.
Israel worshiped the LORD with joy and overflowing gratitude (Leviticus 9:22–24). We long for our worship, too, to be worship that is alive and breathing, offered up to God.
Living everyday as the kingdom of God
일상을 하나님 나라로 살며
그리스도인의 삶은 '신앙생활'이 아닌 '생활 신앙인' 이 되어야 합니다. 일상속 세미한 음성으로 임하시는(열왕기상 19:11–12) 주님과의 동행으로 매일을 살아갑니다.
The Christian life is not faith kept for church, but faith lived in everyday life. We walk each day with the Lord, who comes to us in the gentle whisper of the ordinary (1 Kings 19:11–12).
Discipling the next generation
다음세대를 제자삼고
이스라엘이 길갈에서 열두 돌을 세웠던 것처럼, 우리는 신앙의 다음 세대를 '가정'과 '온 교회'가 함께 연계하여 세워가야 합니다. (여호수아 4:4–9)
Just as Israel set up twelve stones at Gilgal, so we are called to raise up the next generation of faith, with the home and the whole church building together. (Joshua 4:4–9)
Becoming a disciple of Jesus
선교하는 예수제자 되어
예수님은 우리를 팬(fan)이 아니라 제자(disciple)로 부르셨습니다. 제자로 부름받은 사람은 무너지고 상한 모든 것을 회복하는 사람입니다. (이사야 58:12) "선교란 교회가 세상으로 보냄받아 행하는 모든 일을 가리킨다"는 존 스토트 목사님의 말씀처럼, 우리는 일상으로 보냄받은 선교사입니다.
Jesus called us to be disciples, not fans. Those called as disciples are people who restore all that is broken and wounded (Isaiah 58:12). As John Stott wrote, "Mission describes everything the church is sent into the world to do," and so we are missionaries sent into our everyday lives.
Embracing the World and one another
세상과 서로를 품는 공동체
우리가 서로 사랑할 때, 세상은 우리가 예수님의 제자인 것을 알게 됩니다. (요한복음 13:34–35) 세상은 성경을 읽지 않지만, 그리스도인을 통해 성경을 봅니다. 세상을 품고 서로를 품는 공동체를 통해, 우리는 이 땅에서 하나님 나라를 먼저 이루어 갑니다.
When we love one another, the world will know that we are Jesus' disciples (John 13:34–35). The world does not read the Bible, but it sees the Bible through Christians. Through a community that embraces the world and embraces one another, we begin even now to live out the kingdom of God on this earth.
